training is a very important tool for you and your dog(s).
It will provide you with positive reinforcement, as well as,
provide your dog(s) with the necessary skills for proper socialization.
We help in training your dogs from Puppy all the way to Advanced
If you're looking for help with leash walking, recalls, jumping, etc.

Descriptions of Courses offered at
Doggie Play Day & Grooming Salon:
Basic Canine Obedience:
-8 week course
-Covers basic obedience commands (sit, down, stay etc.)
as well as introducing some more advanced behaviors
(watch & heel, recall)
-weekly behavior discussions (digging, jumping, chewing)
including time for Q&A
-introduction to clicker training
Advanced Canine Obedience:
-6 week course meeting for 1 hour once a week
-this course is designed to challenge both the dog and the
owner to improve upon the behaviors learned in Basic Obedience.
-Advanced Stays
-Drop & Drop on Recall
-Advanced heel including off-leash heel
-Mat (fun and practical way to accomplish long duration stays)
-again including regular behavioral discussions on many topics
Children's Education & Basic Handling Course:
-This will be a 4 week meeting for 1 hour once a week.
The course will be geared toward helping children understand
how to handle dogs. This course will involve a lot of discussion
and question and answer sessions.
Some of the topics covered include:
-reading body language -how dogs learn/why training works
-teaching sit & stay
-breed discussions - dogs in shelters - causes of aggression
-canine nutrition – grooming - canine health
-canine jobs – jobs working with canines
Clicker/Trick Training Course:
-This will be a four week course focused solely on teaching the owners
how to properly use a clicker and encourage creativity by constructing
original tricks for their dog from start to finish
Private Sessions:
-These sessions will be scheduled in 1 hour blocks.
Private sessions will be geared toward accomplishing specific goals
established by the owner and myself typically to benefit dogs
with anxiety or aggression issues otherwise not suited for a group
class environment. In many cases the goal would be to eventually work
these dogs into a group class setting.
